Yoga for Back Care w/ Prema Patti Kristiansen- A therapeutic class for those with chronic back issues. A blend of stretching and strengthening for the health of the spine. Please check with your doctor before registering for this or any exercise class.
Gentle Flows Yoga w/ Prema Patti Kristiansen - Hatha Yoga blending gentle postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), Restorative Yoga & meditation to enhance overall health and well being. Classes are suitable for every BODY regardless of experience.
Restorative Yoga w/ Prema Patti Kristiansen- Restorative Yoga aids in decreasing anxiety, chronic stress & illness with the use of props for total relaxation. Props include bolsters, foam blocks, and blankets which help to support the body in each asana (pose). Judith Lasater PhD,PT,RYT, author of Relax & Renew refers to Restorative Yoga as “Active Relaxation” and states that “by supporting the body with props, we alternately stimulate and relax the body to move toward balance.”
Meditation with Tibetan Singing Bowls w/ Lori LeBlanc- Participants will experience how the bowls are used for meditation, relaxation and healing. If you have your own bowl, you are welcome to bring it. No meditation experience required, all are welcome. Class limited is 10 participants.
Qi Gong w/ Barry Nur Portney-A basic introduction to the fundamentals of Qi Gong (Chee-Gong) a movement system from China . This ancient art and medical science supplies us with great benefits for physical mobility, breathing, emotional calm and spiritual connection sustaining overall health. Classes are experiential: learn by doing, simple take home exercises, become more friendly with your body.
Intro to Zumba w/ Nicki Dunbar-Latin inspired dance excerise suitable for the beginning student.
Yoga for Men w/ Jessica Shepard-Here it is, your opportunity to have a class for men only! In this class, we will focus on the specifics of the male body type, creating a series that gives attention to the specific make up of the masculine body. Join us for an invigorating Iyengar inspired vinyasa flow.
Yoga for Kids w/Jessica Shepard- For children ages 3-5, this class combines the practices of mindfulness and yoga to introduce children to the benefits of Yoga in a fun and developmentally appropriate way. The Yoga component helps children understand the connection between mind and body, rejuvenates tired minds, and adds a lot of fun! They will learn about their breath, bodies, and how to listen and be present… Join us for a five week series bringing a bit of mindfulness to your childs day!
